Philadelphia Flyers general manager Daniel Brière announced earlier today that the club has signed forward Cole Knuble to a 2-year entry-level contract that is set to kick in during the 2026-27 season.

With his collegiate season having come to an end with the University of Notre Dame, Knuble will report to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for the rest of the 2025-26 season.

Cole, son of former Flyers forward Mike Knuble, was drafted by the organization in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The now 21-year-old scored 30 goals and 66 points in 57 games for the Fargo Force of the USHL during his draft year before committing to Notre Dame the following season.

During his 3-year run with Notre Dame, Knuble scored 30 goals and 90 points in 106 games, including career-highs of 12 goals and 39 points in 2024-25. He finished the 2025-26 season with 9 goals and 31 points in 36 games to go along with 32 PIM.

For his efforts in 2024-25, the 5-11, 190 pound forward, was named a Hobey Baker Memorial Award nominee and made the 2025 All-Big Ten Second Team.

Knuble was one of 10 picks from the 2023 draft, which included Matvei Michkov and Oliver Bonk in the first round, Carson Bjarnason in the second round, Yegor Zavragin and Denver Barkey in the third round, Alex Čiernik in the fourth round, Carter Sotheran in the fifth round, Ryan MacPherson in the sixth round, and Matteo Mann in the seventh round.

He has followed in the footsteps of Michkov, Bonk, Bjarnason, and Barkey as fellow 2023 draftees to ink an entry-level contract with the Flyers.
