Should the Flyers go back to black jerseys?

Back in 2010, the Flyers made a return to the all orange home jerseys. This switch back to the classic Flyers look was refreshing and brought the team a new (or old) look.

Although I love the orange sweaters, I feel going back to the black jerseys of the 2002-07 era would be a great look for the team. The old black sweaters were sleek and clean, and are only really missing a tad more orange.

In my opinion, the black stadium series jerseys are almost too black, lacking balance with orange and white in the setup. Some people love the setup and some hate it, but I think they are at least a step in the right direction.

Some thought the reverse retro jerseys released last season would return the Flyers to mainly black jerseys, but those who hoped for that were disappointed as they were designed with a mostly orange body.

Either completely switching back to these beauties or adding them as an alternate jersey would look stunning on the ice, not to mention the black sweaters look as though they embody the word “grit”.

A new look to start the upcoming season would be yet another refreshing addition for the team and would emphasize the tremendous changes made to the roster this offseason, hopefully marking a new era of Flyers hockey.
