Preview: Penguins vs. Flyers (1/15/21)

(Chris Szagola/AP)

The Flyers and Penguins meet again in the final game of a two game series at the Wells Fargo Center. Philadelphia convincingly won 6-3 on Wednesday backed by a four point night from Joel Farabee (1 G, 3 A). Kevin Hayes (1 G, 1 A) and Erik Gustafsson (2 A) had multi-point games.

It can be very difficult to beat the same NHL team twice, but the Flyers weren’t at their best despite the scoreline. It was a 3-3 game until Michael Raffl broke the deadlock five minutes into the third period. Oskar Lindblom and Kevin Hayes provided the insurance.

More and more rust will continue to shake off the more games the Flyers get under their belts. Even Carter Hart had an ugly turnover which caused the 2nd Pens goal to Sidney Crosby. It will be interesting to see the response from Pittsburgh in part two of this two game series.
