The Philadelphia Flyers followed suit with the rest of the NHL as they unveiled their regular season schedule for the 2025-26 campaign.

Unlike in recent seasons, the Flyers will not be starting out the year on the west coast or against Western Conference teams. Instead, they go head to head with the defending Stanley Cup champions twice in their first 3 games.

Their season kicks off on the road, starting on October 9th against Florida and then October 11th against Carolina, before returning home for their first matchup at the soon-to-be-newly-named Xfinity Mobile Arena on October 13th for a rematch against the Panthers.

Their home opener kicks off a 4-game homestand against Florida, Winnipeg, Minnesota, and Seattle, before another 5-game homestand to end the month where they welcome the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Toronto, and Calgary.

Their longest homestand comes at the beginning of December when they host Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Colorado, San Jose, Vegas, and Carolina between the 1st and the 14th.

Their longest road will take place during the Christmas break and New Year’s with a 5-game slate that starts in Chicago on the 23rd with pit stops in Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton, which stretches to the 3rd of January.

Additionally, the Flyers are set for 14-back-to-backs, which is one more set than they had last year. November consists of 3, December has 3, January has 2, February has 1, March has 3, and April has 2, including the last 2 games of the season – both on home ice against Carolina and Montréal.

February will only consist of 5 games due to the Olympic Break taking place between the 6th and 24th. The Flyers will host Washington and Ottawa ahead of the break with pit stops in Washington and New York right after the pause, which is followed up by a home game against Boston to finish up the month.

The months of December, January, and March will prove to be the busiest as they all consist of 15 games, primarily due to the Olympic Break cutting out 2.5 weeks from the season. They’re very well split up in terms of the number of road games vs home games with December and March having 7 games on home ice to 8 road games vs January that has 8 home games to 7 on the road.

When it comes to the Metropolitan Division, the Flyers will be playing Carolina, both New York teams, Pittsburgh, and Washington 4 times apiece, whereas they only have 3 games each against New Jersey and Columbus, with the former matchup consisting of 2 games on the road, and the latter matchup having 2 games on home ice.

Within the Atlantic Division, they have two home games to one road game against Boston, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, and Toronto. Conversely, they have two road games to one home game against Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, and Montréal.

The Flyers will look to end their 5-year playoff drought that matches their current franchise record. In fact, they’ve only made the postseason 4 times in the last 13 years, which represents the worst stretch in franchise history.
