Philadelphia Flyers Announce 23-Man Roster For Opening Night, Place Ristolainen On IR

The Philadelphia Flyers have officially announced their 23-man roster that will be heading into Columbus for their season opening tilt on the 12th of October.

The Flyers first announced that defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen had been placed on IR. Then by connecting the dots over the last few days with the waiver wire purge that the NHL went through, Felix Sandström remained with the big club and will be serving as the third netminder.

With Ristolainen on IR to start the season, that meant that no tough decisions had to be made regarding Tyson Foerster, Bobby Brink, and Emil Andrae – who have all made the opening night roster.

So without further ado, your 2023-24 Philadelphia Flyers:

After their road game to start the season against Columbus, the Flyers head north and across the border to face the Ottawa Senators on the 14th, before returning back home to welcome the Vancouver Canucks on the the 17th of October.
