(Heather Barry Images, LLC)

Heading into the break the Flyers nabbed two straight wins (rare) and everyone got a much needed break from the Orange and Black. However, now they’re back and better than ever and I’m ready to have my heart broken again! Let’s take a look at this matchup below.

News and Notes

  • Derick Brassard will be making his return to the lineup vs Detroit. He has 11 points in 19 games this season.
  • The Flyers have won five straight vs the Red Wings, with a all-time record of 72-52-21.
  • Fun Fact: There has only been one Flyers penalty shot in history versus the Red Wings. Way back on March 7th, 1974, Bill Clement and his legendary cookie duster mustache couldn’t tuck one home by Jim Rutherford in the Flyers’ only penalty shot chance against the Red Wings.
