Flyers take on Rangers in first game of 2025 Rookie Series

(Philadelphia Flyers/X)

With Rookie Camp underway for the Philadelphia Flyers, that means the Rookie Series will also take place beginning on Friday night as they face off against the New York Rangers (7:00pm ET; PhiladelphiaFlyers.com)

Tonight is the first of two games this weekend between the Flyers and Rangers, with the second coming tomorrow at 5:00pm. Both games are taking place at PPL Center in Allentown, PA, home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Tonight’s game will give fans a chance to see top Flyers prospects such as Denver Barkey, Carson Bjarnason, and Spencer Gill in action. Jett Luchanko and Oliver Bonk will not be participating in tonight’s game, with the former slated to miss all of Rookie Camp as a precaution for a previous groin injury but should be ready for Training Camp. Bonk had a maintenance day but is expected to play tomorrow.

Newly minted Phantoms head coach John Snowden will be behind the bench for the Flyers tonight, giving him an opportunity to work with and develop some players that will be in Lehigh Valley this season and others who could play there in the future.
