Philadelphia Flyers forward Denver Barkey has seen his impressive rookie pro season be rewarded, as he has been named the Lehigh Valley Phantoms’ lone representative for the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic.
Barkey, who was recalled by the Flyers on December 19th, has appeared in 26 games for the Phantoms this season with 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points. His goal total still ranks third on the team and he remains fifth in points as well.
Since joining the Flyers, Barkey has skated in 11 games. He scored his first NHL goal in the Flyers’ 5-2 win over Edmonton on January 3rd and has added 2 assists while with the Flyers. Barkey has provided a spark to the Flyers’ lineup with his high energy and relentless style of play. Philadelphia is 5-4-2 when Barkey plays.
Should Barkey remain with the Flyers, the Phantoms will need a new representative for All-Star festivities. Forward Lane Pederson would be an ideal candidate as he leads the team in goals (13), assists (14), and points (27).
Among other familiar names in the game, former Flyer Patrick Brown will represent the Providence Bruins and serve as the Eastern Conference’s captain, while former Flyer and potential AHL MVP candidate Jakob Pelletier will represent the Syracuse Crunch.
The AHL All-Star Classic, hosted by the Rockford IceHogs, will take place on February 10th and February 11th in Rockford, Illinois at BMO Arena.
