Nathan Quinn, 17, was the 164th selection in the sixth round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.
Daniel Brière used the sixth-round selection on the young C. Quinn was the fourth C taken by the Flyers in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Philadelphia welcomed Quinn over Burke Hood. Hood went to the New York Islanders six spots later.
Quinn is 5’11” and 173lbs with room to grow into his frame. That makes Quinn the smallest C drafted by the Flyers at the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Quinn’s game doesn’t revolve around physicality and checking, like Jack Nesbitt or Matthew Gard. Quinn is a driver. He’ll generate offense via a catch-and-shoot in the slot or execute a drop pass, driving momentum into shooting lanes.
Last season, in 54GP with the Québec Remparts in the QMJHL, Quinn tallied 46P (17G, 29A). Next season, Quinn will compete at Northeastern University.
There’s a strong possibility Quinn would’ve been selected earlier in his second year of eligibility during the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. He has fourth-round value per draft scouts, and Brière was ahead of the curve, selecting him in the sixth round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft for a bargain. After development, Quinn’s fit in Philadelphia is 4C, with a strong likelihood to remain a reliable hand with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
A new addition to the Flyers’ system, Quinn joins Owen McLaughlin, Cole Knuble, Ryan MacPherson, Jack Berglund, Heikki Ruohonen, Jack Murtagh, Nesbitt, and Gard as the Cs on the reserve non-roster.
